INSPIRATIONS
Husa wakes up early in the morning to write as the sun rises and takes the time to drink a cup of coffee because it helps to kick start his creativity. He has learned over the past couple of years that writing in the early morning is the best for him because it allows him to disconnect from daily distractions while no one is awake yet. He writes about his own life experiences along with drawing from the stories of the people he has met. The artists that he looks to for inspiration are Nahko & Medicine for the People, Shaky Graves, and Trevor Hall.
A Musical Journey
BEHIND THE MUSIC
Kevin Husa was born in Seattle, Washington on April 4, 1994 and moved to Slidell, Louisiana at a young age. As a result of his parent’s divorce, he alternated years between his mother in Seattle and his father in Slidell. This helped a lot in developing his passion for travel. With moving back and forth every year, guitar became the one consistent thing that he always had, no matter where he was living at the moment. He started playing guitar at the age 8 when his step father bought him a guitar while visiting family in Mexico and the first song he ever learned how to play was La Bamba.
